My photography gear

essentials and accessories

Landscape photography requires walking and hiking in places that can be difficult to access. Hence it’s important for me to keep the weight of my equipment to a minimum, while still achieving quality results.

To do so, I chose full-frame format to get the most of available light, but I’m making a compromise on lenses. I’m using third-party quality zoom lenses with the same diameter as my ND filters (67mm) to make my setup consistent, quite light and low budget.

  •  Sony rx100m3 – A point and shoot camera with fixed lens capable of raw images with a built-in ND filter. My first serious camera that i used to learn photography basics. I still use it for quick, on the go shooting, when i need a lightweight setup or as a backup.
  • Sony A7iii – My main camera, very capable for my style of photography (mainly landscape). Auto focus is not the best for wildlife but it does the job, however i miss extra mega pixels for cropping. Other than that, quite satisfied, it ages well.
  • Tamron 28-200 – A good quality all around zoom lens. Very versatile with a wide focal range. Not too heavy to bring along on the field.
  • Kase filters – Good quality filters. I have the 67mm diameter magnetic circular version so it’s quite light weight and easy to operate on the field.
  • FLM tripod CP30-L4ii – Good sturdy tripod, well built and good quality.
  • FLM ballhead 47GX /QLB-50 – Can support heavy load despite its size and weight.
